Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each painting two of their service vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise money for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his technicians both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were inspired to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the amount of cases is actually going down each year, that still constitutes a large number of families who are struggling with this disease, and therefore we have a serious need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, echoed Schneider’s feelings. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in our state – for women and men.”
